PHSA - DEI - Racism in Healthcare and Workplace Culture
This virtual course reviews the historical foundations of racism in healthcare, including the use of pseudo-science and media to justify and advance racist narratives. It also explores how privilege and power shape relationships in workplaces and healthcare, with a focus on intersectionality and the compounded discrimination faced by individuals with multiple marginalized identities. Participants will engage with strategies to promote equity and build more inclusive, culturally responsive environments.
