Leading for inclusive environment: Foundations and challenges

As healthcare systems evolve, leaders are increasingly called to model inclusion, equity, relationality, and reciprocity. This course invites leaders to strengthen their capacity to foster inclusive and equity-oriented work environments. Grounded in PHSA’s vision, Coast Salish teachings, and North Star priorities, participants will explore the foundations of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB); assess inclusion across individual, team, and organizational levels; and identify key challenges and systemic forms of oppression. Practical tools and reflective activities will support leaders in advancing meaningful and cultural change.

This session is delivered as a component of the course Inclusive leadership in unpredictable times: Hard work and heart work.
