Importance of a Trauma Informed Lens (All Staff)

This course is a part of VCH Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training intended to help increase our awareness of inclusion literacy, understanding unconscious bias and cross-cultural competency.

Participants will be introduced to the principles of trauma informed practice for EDI. They will gain an understanding that they do not need to be trauma experts to understand the effects of trauma. Topics will include levels and effects of trauma, vicarious trauma, self-care and resourcing.

All participants must complete Foundations of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Taking Action towards Anti-Racism before attending any of the other workshops.
