Social Determinants of Immigrant Health

This 3 hour workshop will provide an opportunity for staff to learn about the social determinants that are important for immigrant populations. Specifically, this workshop will:

  1. Provide an overview on what the social determinants of health are

  2. Focus on the specific social determinants that are important for immigrant populations using case scenarios and discussion with peers

  3. Introduce tools that will be helpful to integrate what you have learned when providing care to individual patients and at the program level

We highly suggest you take the pre-requisite for this course:
Diversity Competency Online Module 1: What is Diversity? (please search for "what is diversity" on CCRS)

All FH staff, physicians and volunteers, including those working at contracted facilities.
