Diversity Competency In-Person Workshop: Providing Care to LGBTQ Clients

This three-hour workshop will provide an opportunity for FH staff to learn about the following topics pertinent to providing care to people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ):

• LGBTQ identities, concepts and issues
• Training in respectful language and appropriate usage with LGBTQ folk, including terminology and pronouns
• Concrete tools for creating safer spaces for LGBTQ clients and reducing barriers to accessing your services
• An opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues specific to your practice

We highly suggest you take Fraser Health Diversity Services' Online Module 1: "What is Diversity?" before attending this course. Please search for "what is diversity" on Learning Hub.


All FH staff, physicians and volunteers, or those interested in diversity-related issues.
