PHSA - PC - PHS - Succeeding in Shiftwork
This course outlines strategies that help manage fatigue as a result of shift work. The course is intended for paramedics, nurses and other health professionals who are required to work around the clock.
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify types of shift work
- Describe how sleep/wake cycles are affected by shift work
- Identify the effects of shift work and fatigue
- Discover personal techniques to minimize the effects of shift work and fatigue
