PHSA - PC - PHS - Becoming Tobacco Free

This course is suitable for anyone using tobacco who is considering becoming tobacco free.

Topics include:

  • Impacts of continuing to use tobacco on health, finances and fertility
  • Benefits of stopping
  • Chemicals that can be found in cigarettes
  • Medications available to support your quit attempt
  • How using medications along with other behavioural and withdrawal management techniques can improve your chances of becoming tobacco free
  • Where to get support and access to medications available.

This course also offers an opportunity to test your nicotine dependency with a confidential self assessment.

Please note: this course qualifies for 1 continuing education credits with the EMALB and has been added to the Approved Activities List in EMACCS
