PHSA - BCC - Immunotherapies
This course provides an overview of immunotherapies, symptom management and nurse initiated phone calls.
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Understand the basic principles of immune therapy
- Understand the difference between immunotherapy and chemotherapy
- Understand the risk factors associated with immunotherapy - checkpoint inhibitors
- Recognize and manage risk factors and side effects of checkpoint inhibitors
- Educate patients about the importance of reporting signs and symptoms in a timely manner
- Be knowledgeable about the nursing process related to immunotherapy and nurse initiated phone calls
