Health Literacy: Your Role in Patient and Family Learning

The Health Literacy E-Learning Module aims to increase health care provider’s awareness and understanding of the effects of low patient and family health literacy on health outcomes. The e-learning module explores how health care providers can create an environment that encourages patient and family learning by uncovering the learning needs of patients and families and delivering health information in a way that meets these needs (e.g. verbal communication, print materials, and visual aids).
