Provincial Code Red - Fire Safety Training (Acute & Residential Facilities)

Lesson Objectives:
Upon completing this module, you should be able to:
•State and explain the basic principles of Fire Prevention.
•State and explain, the proper actions to take to respond to a fire using the R.A.C.E. protocol.
•State and explain, in the correct order, the steps for proper usage of a fire extinguisher using the P.A.S.S. protocol.
•State the correct actions to take when the alarms are sounded.
•State and explain, in correct the order, the steps and priorities for evacuation.

All staff, students, contractors and others working at acute and residential facilities in Provincial Health Services, Fraser Health, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Providence Health.
