PHSA - BCAAN - The STAR System: Privacy and Security
This course outlines how to use the STAR BC system in a way that complies with provincial legislation and organizational policies around the privacy and confidentiality of client information.
After completing this course, learners will be able to:
- Identify the provincial legislation that applies to information privacy and security
- Identify and be able to location their own organizational policies related to information privacy and security
- Recognize their own responsibilities with regard to information privacy and security
- Understand their rights and obligations within the system
- Identify what to do if a privacy and security breach occurs
