This course outlines the classification and assessment of movement disorders based on the consensus recommendations of the NIH Childhood Movement Disorders Task Force.

The course is intended for therapists across British Columbia.

After completing this course, learners will:

• Increase their understanding of movement disorders in children
• Create a common language around the description of movement disorders in children
• Increase their ability to assess, identify and modify treatments for children with movement disorders
• Provide a teaching and orientation tool for PT/OT students and therapists working in paediatrics
