Navigating Grief and Bereavement in the Context of Homelessness is a four-module, self-paced course that explores the unique intersections of grief, trauma, and homelessness. Through evidence-informed content, real-world examples, reflective exercises, and practical strategies, learners will gain a deeper understanding of the topics covered.

Course Purpose Additionally, the course aims to raise awareness and normalize grief that staff and volunteers may experience when the people they serve die, and to offer practical strategies for supporting yourselves and one another in the workplace. This course was developed by the BC Centre for Palliative Care (BCCPC) in collaboration with a steering committee that included organizations, experts, and individuals with lived experience in grief, bereavement, and/or homelessness. Funding for the development of this course was provided by the BCCPC and the Michael Smith Health Research BC Reach Program. |
