Local Department Head (LDH) New to Role program

This pilot program is designed to support newly appointed Local Department Heads (LDHs) at Fraser Health through a structured, seven month-long development journey. The initiative utilizes group coaching to support LDHs to learn from their peers, create a sense of community, and build confidence as they step into their leadership role.

The program will run from December 2, 2025, to June 2, 2026, will be held virtually on MS teams.

Group participants will meet monthly to discuss topics such as:

  • Leading a team
  • Influencing up
  • Building dyad partnerships
  • Problem solving under pressure
  • Being part of a leadership team
  • Course Sessions:

    Group Sessions: Held on the first Tuesday of each month from December 2, 2025, to June 2, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM PST

    Seats are limited to 22 participants.

    Note: Participants should be prepared to commit to all sessions.

    Sessional Funding Scholarships are now also available for medical leaders who are formally recognized in the Rules and Bylaws or appointed by the Board, to participate in Fraser Health-approved Leadership Development Courses. For eligibility criteria and further details, please click Here
