PHSA - TCBC - Gender-Affirming Infant Feeding
This course explores the role that socio-ecological factors play in trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary (TTNB) families' infant feeding decisions. It invites learners to use a flowchart to identify relevant infant feeding options and presents a roadmap framework as a practical approach to having informed infant feeding discussions.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the role that socio-ecological factors play in infant feeding decisions
- Utilize the infant feeding flowchart to identify relevant infant feeding options based on TTNB families' context, preferences and goals
- Apply the Infant Feeding Roadmap framework as a practical approach to having informed infant feeding discussions
- Identify the key points in time to have or return to infant feeding discussions.
- Navigate infant feeding resources in Trans Care BC's library of resources to support TTNB families with infant feeding
