PHSA - TCBC - Gender-Affirming Relational Practice
This course explores how care providers combine clinical practice, relational practice, and gender-affirming care principles to improve access and quality of care for trans, Two-Spirit, and non-binary patients/clients.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Explain the importance of gender-affirming relational practice in the care of gender diverse clients
- Integrate key practice approaches with gender-affirming care
- Use ethical considerations to improve client-provider discussions
- Support clients' varying relationships to gender
- Develop questions or statements applicable to your practice that demonstrate gender-affirming relational practice
