VCH Indigenous Self-Identification Training

This Indigenous Self-Identification (ISI) Education is designed for VCH staff who are in the position of asking ISI question(s) to patients during registration and intake. Staff who provide care and/or interact with current patients (such as case managers) may also use this course for support. In this education, participants will learn important background considerations about Indigenous Peoples, the purpose of collecting ISI data, and ways to approach the question(s) with patients. The content of this course includes guidance for ISI in CST Cerner, PARIS and Profile EMR systems.
