PHSA - PPHIS - Documenting Immunizations in ImmsBC: Vaccine Administration

This course prepares learners to follow system standards and practices when documenting in the ImmsBC system. Learners will be able to differentiate between documentation workflows, assist with appointment management, and demonstrate their understanding of the vaccine administration pathway.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Differentiate between the Create Immunization Record and Check in Client/View Client buttons
• Demonstrate a client search using the Home page
• Explain the steps for booking and rescheduling an appointment
• Describe how multiple appointments are booked in ImmsBC
• Manage a walk-in client's appointment scheduling
• Describe how to view and document alerts
• Review client demographic and clinical information
• Describe the process for obtaining valid informed consent, and document clinical information within the Vaccine Administration workflow
