PHSA - PC - PHS - Foundations: Integrating Psychological Health and Safety into the Workplace

This workshop provides foundational knowledge and practical tools for fostering a psychologically healthy and safe work environment. Participants will explore the concept of psychological health and safety, understand the 4 stages of psychological safety, examine the risks and benefits of psychological safety & workplace culture, and reflect on current and potential practices to enhance psychological safety.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the National Standard for Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace and how it guides healthy organizational culture.
  2. Recognize the risks and benefits associated with psychological safety, including how it influences employee well being and performance.
  3. Explore the four stages of psychological safety, based on Timothy Clark’s framework, and how they show up in day to day team dynamics.
  4. Reflect on current and potential leadership practices that can strengthen psychological safety in the workplace.

This session is Module 1 of the Integrating Psychological Health & Safety: Leadership Series, a five-part learning experience designed to build knowledge and practical leadership skills to foster psychologically healthy and safe workplaces.
