ICS Hummingbird Level 1 - Foundations Module 1

A virtual pre-requisite to the in-person Indigenous Cultural Safety (ICS) workshop (Hummingbird Level 1 - Foundations Module 2) for all VCH Staff. The course invites you to begin a journey with the Indigenous Health Team, which includes both practical applications as well as a personal commitment. Learners will be given a history of colonization, information on how to give a traditional territorial honouring, as well as an overview of VCH's Indigenous Cultural Safety Policy and its application.

Learners are asked to bring an open mind, participate in self refection, and commit to ongoing learning. This is the first step in reconciliation and improving the care of First Peoples.
