Ethics: An Introduction

Island Health Ethics seeks to increase the awareness of ethics across the organization. We want you to understand how ethics pops up in our daily work and how the Ethics Service can help you. This course will introduce you to what ethics and values are, how ethics can help address tensions in our work, and how to reach Island Health Ethics.

This course offers four learning objectives

• Understand what ethics and values are
• Identify potential situations where ethics may be helpful and why
• Recognize different types of ethics used in healthcare
• Know how to access Island Health Ethics resources if you have questions
