PHSA - HEMBC - Introduction to Emergency Support Services
This course will introduce learners to Emergency Support Services, including what they are, how they help, who is involved, how it is organized. Learners will also review the types of sites Disaster Psychosocial Support volunteers may encounter.
After completing this course learners will be able to:
- Define the Emergency Support Services and the agencies involved
- Describe the different types of support and roles involved
- Describe the different types of sites or facilities and their uses
- Develop an informed idea of what a DPS deployment may be like for volunteers
