Hazardous Drugs Safety for Students

This course is part of the SPECO orientation.

Please note that this course is a redirecting page that leads students to four available versions of the provincial Hazardous Drugs Safety curriculum. The curricula teach the principles of safe handling of hazardous drugs and help to ensure all impacted staff, students and affiliates are aware of the changes, understand the risks associated with handling hazardous drugs and how to minimize workplace exposures.

Students: please note that you must access the Hazardous Drugs Safety course through this link, otherwise your SPECO completion certificate will not get generated. The certificate will be available in your Learning Hub Learning History.

If you have completed a Hazardous Drugs Safety curriculum or one of its modules prior to accessing it through SPECO, you do not need to complete the curriculum again however you will still need to register for this course in order to receive your record of completion.

Unable to access the course?

Please ensure your Learning Hub account type is "Student" and the Organization field displays the health authority where your placement is going to be. This can be checked and edited in My Profile. If after updating the profile, you are still not able to access the course, please contact the Helpdesk.

Completed the course but there is no certificate of completion?

Please first ensure you have completed all of the activities in the main learning module. If the module is completed but there is still no record of completion for "Hazardous Drugs Safety for Students", please return to this course through the link in the SPECO checklist, click Start the Course and then allow a few minutes for the certificate to get generated. You do not need to re-do the modules.
