Essential Conversations: Sensitive Questions and Messages in Healthcare (Application of Skills)

This in person session builds on the introductory online Essential Conversations learning module by focussing on the practical application of skills, including strategies and approaches to navigate challenging situations and communications with patients and families.

This 3.5 hour interactive session will benefit clinicians involved with:
• Complex interpersonal dynamics and communications
• Care transitions

By the end of this session you will be better equipped to:
• Engage in compassionate therapeutic conversations with patients and families
• Apply person-centred and trauma informed principles and approaches to communication
• Use enhanced communication skills (e.g. motivational approaches) in practice
• Integrate strategies that support individual and collective wellbeing in this work
