Seasonal Influenza Updates 2022 – 2023
The Seasonal Influenza Updates: 2022 - 2023 course provides a summary of the influenza vaccine program for the upcoming influenza season. The BC Immunization Manual, Part 4 - Influenza vaccines is the decision support tool for vaccine providers in BC and should be consulted for up to date guidance on influenza vaccine administration.
Upon completion of this course, you will acquire the knowledge to provide safe and effective influenza immunizations for the 2022/23 influenza season.
Note: The BCCDC Immunization Competency Course is a requirement for certain health professionals to autonomously administer vaccines. Check with your regulatory college for information on the education requirements for autonomous immunization practice.

The Influenza Immunization Competency Course: Foundations of Influenza: Disease & Vaccines is a 3 hour course that supports vaccine providers gain a greater understanding of influenza disease and vaccines. This course has been adapted to be a comprehensive competency course, based on the Immunization Competencies for BC Health Professionals, for new immunizers who will be providing influenza vaccines only.
