This course provides an overview of PHSA's Fostering a Culture of Respect Policy. This Policy was updated in July, 2024. View Policy on SHOP.

By the end of this course, you should be able to:

Define:
a respectful workplace
disrespectful behaviours (bullying and harassment, discrimination, etc.)

Identify:
key points from PHSA's Fostering a Culture of Respect Policy
communication techniques for creating a respectful workplace

Recognize:
the value of clarifying conversations
the consequences of not dealing with issues in a timely and fair manner
the value of promoting a positive work environment

Resources to help you create and maintain a respectful workplace will also be shared.

This course is open only to PHSA employees and covers PHSA-specific policies and procedures.

Prior to attending educational sessions, you must obtain approval from your manager or supervisor if attending on scheduled work time (or if you expect to be reimbursed if attending outside of work time).

Course links will go out 48h before the start time.
If you are unable to attend the session, please withdraw at least 24h prior to the start of the course.

Courses require a minimum of 20 attendees, if that is not met, sessions will be cancelled.
