Serious Illness Conversations with Clients Living with Mental Health and Substance Use Concerns

Clients living with mental health and substance use concerns experience many barriers to accessing health care. As a result, they are less likely to be engaged in Serious Illness Conversations and receive care aligned with their wishes Serious Illness Conversations are a promising avenue to empower clients in sharing their personal values, life goals, and wishes for care.

In this webinar, we review the latest research on best practices when it comes to having trauma-informed, person-centered serious illness conversations with clients living with mental health and substance use concerns.
