Difficult Debriefing in Simulation
The general purpose of the course is to provide tools for simulation facilitators who are faced with difficult debrief situations. The workshop explores the various factors that affect a post-simulation debrief and how to manage potentially challenging situations.
The workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to:
- Explore many influencing factors on a debrief
- Develop a deeper understanding of psychological safety
- Identify strategies for managing a potentially difficult debrief
- Practice utilizing the difficult debrief tool
** Please note – this workshop does not include managing clinical event debriefing**
Difficult Debrief workshop is catered to simulation facilitators with at least one year experience of facilitating simulations and debriefs. Interested participants should be familiar with the structure of a simulation event and different debrief models. |
