Video Simulation: Understanding Substance Use Stigma

This is the story of Walter, a middle-aged labourer who is apprehended by police under Section 28 of the Mental Health Act after community members witnessed him walking into traffic following the use of stimulants.

This Simulation focuses on establishing a therapeutic relationship with someone who uses substances, and taking a harm reduction approach.

Using a video as the Simulation, you will see Walter's story, several clinical interactions, and an interview with the actor who portrays Walter.
