Peripheral Intravenous Initiation

This online course is a prerequisite prior to attending the Acute Care Orientation: Nursing Clinical Skills session or any adult peripheral initiation skills lab.

By the end of this theoretical course you should be able to:

  1. Describe the process involved in the insertion of a peripheral IV.
  2. Identify approaches to prevent, minimize, and detect complications.
