Purpose

Learning Objectives
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Recognize why communicating and assessing the risk of violence is essential for creating a culture of safety for both staff and patients.
- Identify the benefits of assessing and communicating a risk of violence.
- Demonstrate accurate decision-making, based on screening and assessment outcomes.
- Determine when, why and how to implement a person-centred Behavioural Care Plan.
- Determine when to activate or deactivate a History of Violence Alert.

This course is meant for all regulated Health Care Professionals or those who have a Risk of Violence Assessment within their scope of practice or role delegated by their program. |
