BC Virtual Visit User Training

Overview
UPDATE: As of May 10th, 2023, all users from the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and Island Health will need to use their health authority email and password to log into BC Virtual Visit. Please disregard references to resetting passwords in BC Virtual Visit throughout this video series.

Additionally, users from all other Health Authorities will notice a few variations in the BC Virtual Visit login pages shown in the videos.

As a reminder for Island Health users, basic patient demographic data will automatically flow from the Cerner patient profile to BC Virtual Visit when a client has opted-in to receive virtual care and the 'YES' option for consent to use email is selected during registration. Ensure you search the patient profile first to see if it already exists prior to creating a new patient profile in BC Virtual Visit.

Many in-call features have been added since the videos were produced, including the ability to:

  • adjust the volume of participants on the call
  • pin up to 2 participants' videos to the main screen
  • fill participants' videos to full screen
  • place individual participants on hold
  • view the video as a pop-out screen

For additional information regarding any of the updates above, please reach out to your Health Authority contacts below.
