Course Description
Cerner Capacity Management (CCM) is an electronic bed management system that will act as a communication tool between registration, patient placement, porters, housekeeping and clinical staff.
Through Capacity Management staff will be able to:
· Admit and transfer patients
· Request porter services
· Order equipment
· Complete patient discharges

By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Log in, navigate and personalize the Cerner Capacity Management application
  • Add or change locations and create favorite locations
  • Create custom lists with location filters
  • Request, modify, or cancel equipment transport requests
  • Request, modify, or cancel patient transport requests
  • Manage direct patient admissions
  • Initiate a patient transfer
  • Receive a patient transfer
  • Manage bed swaps
  • Admit a Perinatal patient with anticipated delivery
  • Send a Perinatal patient to the main Operating Room
