Course Description
Cerner Capacity Management (CCM) is an electronic bed management system that will act as a communication tool between registration, patient placement, porters, housekeeping and clinical staff.

Through Capacity Management staff will be able to:
• Admit and transfer patients
• Request porter services
• Order equipment
• Complete patient discharges

Learning Objectives
By the end of this course you should be able to:

  • Log in, navigate and personalize the Cerner Capacity Management application
  • Add or change locations and create favorite locations
  • Create custom lists with location filters
  • Order equipment
  • Request, modify, or cancel equipment transport requests
  • Request, modify, or cancel patient transport requests
  • Transfer an emergency patient to the operating room for daycare surgery
  • Transfer admitted patients out of the Emergency Department
  • Discharge a patient home
  • Discharge a patient to the Morgue or directly to a funeral home
  • Know where to find CCM Downtime resources
