Curriculum: BCCDC COVID-19 Immunization Webinars
The BCCDC COVID-19 Vaccine webinar series are offered to establish a foundation of knowledge to support new and existing vaccine providers in the provision of the COVID-19 vaccine in the province of British Columbia.
The COVID-19 Vaccine Overview webinar provides an overview of COVID-19 vaccines and highlights important education and immunization resources for the delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines in BC. This webinar is 24 minutes in length.
The COVID-19 mRNA Vaccines webinar provides an overview of the mRNA vaccines approved for use in Canada and illustrates the specific recommendations on the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 mRNA vaccines in BC. This webinar is 30 minutes in length.
The Viral Vector COVID-19 Vaccine webinar provides an overview of COVID-19 viral vector vaccines and highlights important education and immunization resources for the delivery of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines in BC. This webinar is 20 minutes in length.
The Protein Subunit COVID-19 Vaccine webinar provides an overview of the Protein subunit COVID-19 vaccine authorized for use in Canada. This webinar is 7 minutes in length.
A short quiz will follow each webinar which will generate a certificate upon completion.
The Cultural Safety and Immunization Clinics Webinar was developed to support health care providers’ capacity to deliver culturally-safe care, meaning care that is mindful and respectful while addressing anti-Indigenous racism, during the COVID-19 immunization campaign.
Achieving a culturally safe care outcome involves the health care provider being able to practice cultural humility and self-reflection and embrace continuous learning. This webinar and video are 10 minutes in length.
