Exploring a Respectful Workplace

What is respectful behaviour and why does it matter?

Please join us for this interactive session as we explore disrespectful behaviour, bullying and harassment,
the BC Human Rights protected grounds and more. This session will review our individual & collective responsibilities to create and maintain a respectful working environment and allow for personal reflection in how we can make a difference.

By the end of the module, you will be able to:

• Identify key points of the VCH Respectful Workplace and Human Rights Policy, BC Human Rights code and WorkSafe BC Legislation from the Pre-reading for this session.
• Understand how disrespectful conduct and behaviour in the workplace can escalate to harassment, bullying and discrimination.
• Identify the fundamental Equity, Diversity and Inclusion behaviors desired at VCH and why inclusion is fundamental to our team’s performance.
• Learn and practice a 4-step model on how to address disrespectful conduct through case studies.
• Understand your options for also reporting complaints.
