Introduction to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD)

This course is intended as an introduction to the MAiD process, for health care workers, interpreter services or others who are supporting families or patients moving through the process.
Please note: Federal MAiD laws were amended March 17, 2021. This course did not reflect those changes until November 18, 2021. In particular, the 10 day period of reflection was removed.

This course is intended for staff who interact with patients who may ask about MAiD. For example, allied health staff, Provincial Language Services, home support staff etc.
