After completing this course learners will be able to:

Describe what the Mental Health Act and why it is important
Complete Mental Health Act forms appropriately
Identify where to access Mental Health Act-related resources

Open To	All staff (registered nurses, allied health, psychosocial providers, etc), directors, and physicians who admit and provide care to children and youth admitted under the BC Mental Health Act.
Other Information	This course is aligned with provincial standards. 3.0 CME credits are available. Please note: As of September 20, 2023, there have been changes made to the MH forms, particularly with the change from Form 4 to 4.1 and Form 4.2. This course has not yet been updated to reflect the changes. For new work standards, resources and educational material, please reach out to your leadership.
