NHA - CL - Understanding Diversity and Spirituality
This course is part of the Medically Complex Frail Elderly (McFE) Curriculum. This course is geared towards professionals within the Inter-Professional Team (IPT) who are required to assess, care plan or provide direct point of contact care of an older adult.
In this course, the learner will:
-Identify you own values and beliefs related to diversity.
-Recognize how your own values and beliefs impact on your ability to provide respectful care.
-Determine how a client and/or family express their own values, beliefs and spirituality.
-Examine if spiritual care needs are being met as identified.
-Understand how to assess for the presence of spiritual pain and/or spiritual distress.
