Biocontainment Cleaning of Medical Equipment for High Threat Pathogens

Provincial training standards used in this course include preparedness for responding safely to high threat pathogens.
This course has been developed for designated staff in all facilities across British Columbia.
Upon completion of the “Biocontainment Cleaning of Medical Equipment for High Threat Pathogens” you will be able to identify requirements for cleaning any medical equipment used in the diagnosis and care of a patient with a rare or emerging, serious consequence pathogen. This includes personal protective equipment, instructions how to put it on and how to remove it, equipment cleaning protocols and more.
Please note that this course must be followed by hands-on practices and is not intended to be used as a stand-alone piece.
This course takes 45-60 minutes to complete. The passing grade for the test is 80%.
