NHA - CL - Palliative Care - Symptom Management Kit (SMK)

The Palliative Care Symptom Management Kit is only for use by Northern Health primary care/community care nurses that have been trained on using the service. Physicians and/or nurse practitioners can access the kit as well, but they must be trained and there must an NH nurse involved. By completing this learning module you are completing training on the use of these kits and will be able to utilize this service for your patients.
Community pharmacies play an integral role in providing this service by maintaining the symptom management kits and processing the prescriptions prior to dispensing the kit.
