Pyxis Basic Training Registration
This course is intended for approved new hires and preceptorship students working in Fraser Health patient care areas with Pyxis™ MedStations.
Pyxis™ is a brand of an automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) that secures approximately 90% of the medications in a patient care area. It increases efficiencies, security and decreases risk of med error.
Fraser Health (FH) Pyxis™ Sites:
- Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) (Training site) and surrounding campus, including Urgent Primary Care Centre (UPCC), Laurel Place Rehab (LPR), Timber Creek and Creekside Withdrawal Management Centre
- Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgical Centre (JPOCSC)
- Abbotsford Regional Hospital (ARH) (Training site)
- Mission Memorial Hospital (MMH)
Note: FH Pyxis™ ADCs is upgrading to a new version.
Note: Training is different at ARH and SMH. You must attend a session at your hired/assigned or affiliate site (e.g. if hired to MMH, attend at ARH. If hired to JPOCSC, attend at SMH).
Approved preceptorship students, new hires (Nursing/RT/Nuc Med Technologists/Clinical Pharmacists and physicians) working in patient care areas with Pyxis™. |
