CPR Basic Life Support Competency Maintenance for Healthcare workers in Long-Term Care eLearning module
By completing this course, you will refresh knowledge for CPR:
- Describe the importance of CPR and its impact on survival
- Identify the correct rate and depth of chest compressions for an adult
- Identify the correct rate of rescue breathing for an adult
This course is to be completed annually along with onsite in-person learning on how to:
- Identify a code blue and initiate a code blue response
- Describe the roles of the responders during a code blue
- Prepare staff to apply knowledge to practice, including additional learning activities within your practice area (eg. mock code blue simulations)
PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the Heart & Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course. If you require BLS certification, see your clinical nurse educator or manager.
