PHSA - BCW - Caring for Pregnant and New Parents with Physical Disabilities

This course highlights the unique physical, mental health and breastfeeding considerations for pregnant and new parents with physical disabilities.

Topics include:

  • Introduction to pregnancy with a physical disability
  • Preconception and planning for pregnancy
  • Considerations during pregnancy
  • Intrapartum considerations
  • Postpartum considerations
  • Returning home

This course has 6 separate chapters that range from pre-conception to returning home. Each chapter is approximately 20 minutes in length. Total course will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.
