Skin and Wound: Medications that Affect Wound Healing
After completing this course, RNs, RPNs and LPNs will be able to obtain a complete medication list, correctly identify polypharmacy, high-risk medications and/or medication safety issues, and communicate the risk to the prescribing provider using the appropriate communication format.
By the end of this course you will be able to:
- Identify classes of medications that impact wound healing
- Recognize how these medications alter the wound healing trajectory
- Adjust the treatment plan and goals of care as appropriate
- Identify mitigation strategies
