NHA - RM - Privacy and Confidentiality
Privacy compliance is a cornerstone for Northern Health (NH) and NH staff when collecting, accessing, using, or disclosing personal information and is particularly critical where it relates to health care.
NH staff (meaning both Staff and Agents per Confidentiality policy) are responsible for protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all personal information they come into contact with, including personal information about patients, clients and other staff.
All NH staff are required to review and adhere to the NH Confidentiality Policy (5-3-1-040).
This course will help you understand the requirements of this policy. The course will also provide direction as to where to go to find the answers to questions regarding privacy and confidentiality.
