Hand Care

Working in health care with multiple soaps, hand sanitizers, gloves and other chemicals can be hard on our hands. However, good hand hygiene is the single most important element in preventing the spread of pathogens and antibiotic resistance in healthcare settings.

Keeping your skin healthy will make it easier for you to perform proper hand hygiene, an essential part of preventing infections.

In this course you will learn about work-related skin dermatitis and be able to:

• Differentiate between allergic and irritational skin dermatitis
• Understand how to prevent these conditions
• Improve your skin condition
• Determine a routine that works for you to take care of your skin
• Locate additional resources, and request further help if needed
