Fraser Health Fetal Health Surveillance (FHS) Refresher Workshop (3 hours)

This course is a refresher for staff and health care providers who have knowledge and experience in Fetal Health Surveillance. The objective of this course is to apply fetal health surveillance theory within the context of the total clinical picture.

Open to Fraser Health RNs working in Perinatal; Midwives, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians working in Fraser Health. Any other areas of practice must have the site Maternity manager approval or you may be removed from registration.

Fraser Health Fetal Health Surveillance Workshops are held virtually on the Teams platform. Please ensure that your Learning Hub profile reflects your most used email address as that is where the Teams link will be sent prior to the workshop.

FHA workshops are hosted by each site. If you don't see your site hosting a FHS Refresher workshop, please register for whichever session works for your schedule as all workshops follow the same agenda.

Prior to attending Fetal Health Surveillance, you must complete The Fundamentals of Fetal Health Surveillance Online Manual and Exam. Please go to the FHA Fetal Health surveillance website and follow those instructions - https://www.fraserhealth.ca/employees/clinical-resources/fetal-health-surveillance#.YIirMPlKhPb The price of this exam is included with your course. Do not pay for the exam- a payment code is provided to you through FHA.

Once you have completed the online module make sure you download the certificate and will be emailed to you and send it to the Maternity CNE where the workshop is hosted.

Cancellation Policy- If you must withdraw yourself from a class, do so early so that participants on the waitlist have ample time to prepare.

Fee: FHS is free for Fraser Health Staff. All contractors are asked to pay $125.00. Payments must be made over the phone using a credit card. Call the Cashier's office:

Provide cashier with name, name of course, cost of course-$125, your email address and your credit card info. Digital receipt will be emailed to you after payment. Proof of payment must be emailed to site CNE where workshop is hosted prior to workshop.

Record of Completion: A record of completion will be available through the Learning Hub -Learning History feature within 2 weeks of the workshop once online certificate and payment has been received.

It is recommended that you attend the FHS sessions that is hosted by your home site to foster teamwork and communication. If you do not see a session listed for your site- please check with your Maternity CNE for future dates that may work for your schedule.
