Simulation Learning Strategies - Facilitator Development Course (VCH)
This course is the first foundational workshop of the Simulation Facilitator Development Curriculum offered by the Regional Simulation Team. It is ideal for those who are new to utilizing simulation as an educational strategy, or have minimal simulation experience.
In this workshop learners will:
- Develop a foundational knowledge of simulation based learning strategies
- Identify elements of effective teamwork and incorporate those elements into simulation based learning objectives
- Learn the foundations of debriefing skills and their application in simulation based learning
- Plan and develop a simulation scenario
- Facilitate a simulation scenario
Educators and healthcare professionals who are currently using simulation-based education. |

The workshops are offered to you by VCH Regional Simulation Team. The comparable market value is $500 for each workshop. Register early to secure your seat. If you can’t attend, we require at least 2 business day notice to accommodate those on the wait list. Please email us at regionalsimulation@vch.ca and cancel your Learning Hub registration. We begin pulling from our waitlist 2 weeks before the course opens. For those in other health authorities please email regionalsimulation@vch.ca and we will register you on the waitlist, and enroll you if available 2 weeks before the course commences. If you have taken the version of this course after August 2023, you will not need to register for Scenario Design course in the future. |

Please complete The Simulation Facilitator Pathways e-Learning Module on Learning Hub. The Regional Simulation Team will send you an email one month prior to the course taking place which will include required pre-readings and location specific information. |
