Dementia Care: Fundamental Knowledge, Skills and Competencies for Providing Person-Centred Care

For people with dementia, our understanding of “caring” takes on an expanded meaning. We need to pay special attention to knowing the “person behind the disease” because this individual may not be able to verbally express his or her needs, preferences, values, fears and hopes. The content of the learning modules will give you the knowledge, tools and confidence to understand the needs of, and effectively care for, persons with Alzheimer Disease and related dementias.

This Dementia course is applicable to Health Care Providers, from professional to support staff.
